Born on July 7, 1993, Super Auctions was founded and designed to provide dedicated and 100% focus on auctioning and marketing of pre-owned amusement assets exclusively for the Family Entertainment Center and Leisure Industries. Named “The Sotheby’s of Video Games” by the Wall St. Journal on June 19, 2004.

Utilizing the accelerated auction method, we have conducted literally 100’s of auctions for virtually the “Who’s Who” of the amusement entertainment industry. Luminaries such as Walt Disney Land, Walt Disney World, Sea World, Dave n Busters, Chuckee Cheese, Sega, Namco, Coin Star, Gatti Town, Jillian’s, Q-Zar, Putt, Mountasia, Collins Entertainment Corporation, Celebration Station, Coney Island, U.S. Army and literally hundreds more.

Our database is over 60,000 contacts from auctions we have conducted in over 24 states, for buyers and sellers from every state in the country and over 15 countries. We are proud of the many innovations we have made common place in today’s amusement industry. Super Auctions was the first amusement auction company to conduct a LIVE Online auction in conjunction with a LIVE Auction, the first simulcast ever conducted with EBay directly on July 9, 1999. We were the first amusement auction company to target and invite the public to our auctions, propelling prices paid to near records at every auction. We created an instant economy for operators by allowing them instant credit on sales at our auction towards any purchases, and we were first to pay out all consignors on the same day of auction, no longer would they need to wait up to 30 business days like all our competitors. We also were first to utilize a buyer’s premium in the industry, not only helping to achieve more profitability, but to advertise and market our brand to consumers who never realized they could enjoy their own commercial game room favorites in their own personal homes.

The marketing produced enormous bidder’s crowds at every auction, so much in fact, that if a private seller was thinking about auction or liquidation, Super Auctions was the clear choice.

Many of our clients have benefited from our marketing teams incredible and dynamic approach to capturing major media attention and have been featured in The Wall St. Journal, New York Times, Forbes Online, Los Angeles Times, The Dallas Morning News, St. Louis Post Dispatch, Colorado Gazette, Orange County Register, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Orlando Sentinel, and many of our clients auctions have had major television coverage ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, C- Net and hundreds of local affiliates, radio programs, blogs, and internet sites throughout the world.

SUPER AUCTIONS SOLVES CLIENTS CHALLENGES

We learned years ago, we were not hired for auctions, but rather to find solutions for client’s challenges. We’re proud that many of our clients utilize our services again and again, and if fact when the clients business is sold or they prepare to retire, we usually are conducting the last auction where the bottom line can make a significant difference of quality of life, the final return for many years work rest solely on our marketing skills and outcome of the auction.

Live Auctions

The Live Auction is where assets are sold at a specific time and location. We highly recommend conducting the auction at the business site. This auction style requires bidders to attend the auction event in person and to register and meet any conditions or terms that have been established from our initial consultation with the seller.

The Live Auction generally will have a preview date and time allowing prospective bidders time to review and inspect all items being offered in the auction. Generally the preview and inspection date in the day prior to the actual auction event.
At the beginning of the auction, the auctioneer will read any established terms and removal period of auction items. The auctioneer will then begin to open the auction up for bidding and solicit bids from the bidders on each item or lot that has been identified and inventoried from the assets prior to the preview and auction.

The auctioneer will ask for bids, and the bidders can accept his invitation or make another bid. These processes will continue until the highest and best bid is made for each individual lot. Generally the opening bid can be set by the auctioneer or seller.
At the conclusion of the auction, all bidders pay for their purchases and remove the items from location in accordance of removal schedule pre-determined from seller and auctioneer.

Utilizing the most innovative and advanced technology provided to the auction industry, we can broadcast your auction event simultaneously on the internet. Registered online bidders will be competing against the live on site bidders during the auction. Additional features allow online bidders to view and hear the live auction and to place bids on each item all in real time.

For Sellers:
This option requires ample time for extensive preparation and post auction activities including extended time needed for collection of online customers’ payments and assisting in logistics and delivery for online customers.

AFFORDABLE PRIVATE AUCTION THROUGH THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY

timedauctionsA “Timed Auction” is exactly like a private live on site auction although the main difference is that all the bidding activity takes place via the internet over a set period of days which is generally five days and the timed auctions has a specific start and end time. Promotion and marketing for the auction in both time and investment are exactly as a live onsite auction. Much like a live auction, there would be an inspection or preview date prior to the actual auction date. The major difference is that once the auction starts bidders have the opportunity to “Buy It Now“ if this feature is selected by the seller.

Additionally if a bid is placed during the last minute before the auction stop time, the time on that individual item is automatically extended for an additional 2 minutes to allow time for other bids to be placed which assists in creating a sense of urgency. It is the closing time extension that truly resembles the feel of being in a live auction, with the frequent bidding and a sense of auction fever is what compels bidders to note risk losing the item they hold an interest in for the duration of the auction. Reserves can be set for any item and a unique visual gauge provides an indication to the bidder how close their current bid is to the reserve price.

Sellers can save additional money by supervising the entire event themselves. Utilizing procedural requirements which will include taking photographs, assigning inventory lot numbers, providing detailed descriptions and managing their own inspection dates, shipping or removal of the items sold. The
self-supervised timed auction event benefits from all the marketing and sales resources of a traditional auction while reducing costs to the client. The main benefit is that the seller maintains control of the production, sale and removal schedule. At the conclusion of the auction invoices are emailed to the winning bidders and they typically remit their payments online. The removal time is normally one day and for larger items the removal will be 2 days.

If the client prefers we can send a company representative to handle the set-up, photography, descriptions and take care of the removal process. The Timed Auction system is also a benefit for areas where auctions are not permitted or where there is not enough space to properly conduct a live auction.
